Slice & Soda, código relacionado com o mundo das pizzas que só a dupla percebe, é o novo projecto electrónico criado pelo DJ francês Para One e o vocalista San Serac. A dupla publicou no passado 20 de Junho o álbum de estreia homónimo pela Sixpack France, de onde saiu Year of The Dragon, o primeiro single que tem recebido remisturas brilhantes de artistas como os Villa ou L-Vis 1990.

A dupla dançante oscila entre Byrne e Bowie, cadências funk, synths pegajosos, um armamento de percussão, falsettos aguerridos, poesia críptica e refrões apaixonados.

Slice & Soda, code related to the world of pizza whose significance only the duo truly understands, is the new electronic project created by French DJ Para One and vocalist San Serac. The duo released last June 20th the self-titled debut album on Sixpack France. “Year of the Dragon” is the first single that has received brilliant remixes from artists such as Villa or L-Vis 1990. Their dance music oscillates between Byrne and Bowie, funk cadences, sticky synths, an army of percussion, shouty falsettos, cryptic poetry and impassionned chorus.

Eles são sem qualquer dúvida a minha dupla brasileira de DJ favorita. O The Twelves sucedem aos Phoenix e Digitalism no lançamento de 2 mixtapes para a compilação Kitsuné Tabloid: uma de músicas inéditas e outra que reúne algumas das influências electro-funk dos cariocas. A compilação sai a 5 de Setembro e eu mal posso esperar.

They are without doubt my favorite Brazilian DJ duo. The Twelves succeed to Phoenix and Digitalism in the release of two mixtapes for the Kitsuné Tabloid compilations: one of unreleased songs and another that gathers some of the influences of the electro-funk cariocas. The compilation will be out on September 5th and I can not wait.

O single vem acompanhado por remisturas de Round Table Knights, Dimitri From Paris, Sneak e. Aqui podem ouvir a versão de The Magician.

O video, realizado por Cedric Blaisbois, foi filmado em Paris nas origens de The Bubble, uma dança popular nas casas mais Vogueish da cidade. Começa com a “mãe” do estilo de dança, Jonas, acompanhando-o na sua jornada pelo título desta batalha entre outros candidatos.
