Dei por mim a imaginar qual seria a banda sonora perfeita para quando estou a sonhar acordado. Cheguei à conclusão que Destiny é a música ideal.

Destiny, original de uma banda até agora desconhecida por mim – Houses – surge de uma colaboração com a minha nova paixão de Vancouver, os Teen Daze. O tema faz-me flutuar para um mundo de faz de conta, habitado por vocais românticos perdidos no horizonte e pedaços de synths harmoniosos e ensolarados a salpicar a melodia num colorido jogo do Super Mario Bros. Oiçam a música no blog da banda aqui.

O tão esperado álbum debut dos Teen Daze, intitulado Four More Years, é editado em vinyl a 12 de Agosto pela Arcade Sound Ltd.

I found myself wondering what would be the perfect soundtrack for daydreaming. I concluded that Destiny was the ideal music. Destiny, originally from a unknown band for me – Houses – appears from a collaboration with my new Vancouver passion, Teen Daze. The song makes me float into a make-believe world, filled with romantic vocals lost in the horizon and pieces of the harmonious sun-drenched synths splashing the melody  in a colorful Super Mario Bros computer game. Listen to music on the band’s blog here. The long-awaited debut album of Teen Daze, titled Four More Years, it’s due to be released on vinyl on August 12th by Arcade Sound Ltd.

Os enigmáticos Teen Daze, que chamei à atenção aqui há algumas semanas, voltam a fazer-me sonhar com as últimas remisturas que acabam de partilhar. Os canadianos que assinam pela Arcade Sound Ltd. pegaram nas guitarras orgânicas de Wide Eyes, original da banda indie-rock Local Natives, e deitaram-nas sobre um manto electrónico, tornando-a numa balada épica de synths emotivos e sonoridades atmosféricas dispersas e ondulantes que parecem borrifar-nos a cara com gotas de água e oxigénio.

The enigmatic Teen Daze, who I called to your attention here a few weeks back, to making me dream again with their latest remixes they just shared. The canadian band who sign for Arcade Sound Ltd. label, took the organic guitars of Wide Eyes, original theme by indie-rock band Local Natives, and laid them over an electronic mantle, making it an emotive ballad of epic synths and  undulating fragmented atmospheric sounds that seem to sprinkle your face with drops of water and oxygen. O DJ sediado em Montreal Mike Silver, a.k.a CFCF, não é nenhum estranhos em remixes – recentemente fez remisturas oficiais para Owen Pallett e HEALTH e remixou os Crystal Castles, Sally Shapiro, The Presets e muitos outros no passado.

Em vez da atitude debochada e provocadoramente sexual, Blank entrega-se a este tema house reluzente, de forma intimista e calorosa, com vocais doces e versáteis que escorregam suavemente ao longo do vídeo que marcou a sua estreia via The Fader.

In the new Only You from NY-based disco-house DJ/producer Eli Escobar, the electro-rapper Amanda Blank appear as ever seen before. Instead of the usual raunchy and sexual provocatively attitude, Blank gives herself to this sparkling glossy house song, in an intimate and warm manner, with versatile sweet vocals slipping gently throughout  the video, premiered via The Fader.

Há dias mostrei aqui o extravagante e sexual novo vídeo de All the Loves, single do álbum Aphrodite da maravilhosa Kylie Minogue. Hoje chega-me às mãos uma remistura soberba do produtor de Londres via Tóquio, Fear of Tigers. Como não podia deixar de ser, uma versão powerpop em chamas com estilhaços de synths carregados de energia a disparar bem longe para outras galáxias.

A few days ago I’ve showed here the lavashing sexual new video of All the Loves, taken from the beautiful Kylie Minogue’s latest album Aphrodite. Today I get my hands on this superb remix by the London via Tokyo producer, Fear of Tigers. As expected, this version is a powerpop song under flames with shattered energetic synths shooting straight away into other galaxies.
